very similar in wording. Moreover, ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn al-Aṣbahānī did not hear this report directly from Murrah; he only relates it from someone who informed him on Murrah’s authority. I know of no one who transmits it from ʿAbd Allāh except Murrah. (1)

Ibn ʿAbbās said, “Your Prophet (Allah bless him and grant him peace) was born on a Monday, was sent as a prophet on a Monday, left Mecca in migration on a Monday, entered Madinah on a Monday, and died on a Monday.” This was recorded by Imām Aḥmad (3) and by al-Bayhaqī (4).
Sufyān al-Thawrī narrated—from Hishām ibn ʿUrwah, from his father, from ʿĀʾishah—that she said: “Abū Bakr asked me, ‘On what day did the Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him and grant him peace) die?’ I replied, ‘On a Monday.’ He then said, ‘I hope that I too will die on that day,’ and he did indeed die on a Monday.” Al-Bayhaqī transmitted it through the chain of al-Thawrī.
Imām Aḥmad (5) said: Aswad ibn ʿĀmir narrated to us; Huraym (6) narrated to us; Ibn Isḥāq narrated to me, from ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn al-Qāsim, from his father, from ʿĀʾishah, who said: “The Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him and grant him peace) died on a Monday and was buried on the night before Wednesday.” This wording is unique to Aḥmad.

They did not all gather before the Messenger of Allah passed away—while he was resting against ʿĀʾishah’s chest and on her allotted day—on Monday, after the sun had passed its zenith, at the beginning of the crescent of Rabīʿ al-Awwal.”
Abū Yaʿlā (7) said: Abū Khaythamah narrated to us; Ibn ʿUyaynah narrated to us, from al-Zuhrī, from Anas, who said: “The last time I ever saw the Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him and grant him peace) was on a Monday. He drew aside the curtain while the people were standing behind Abū Bakr in prayer. I gazed at his face, which was shining like a page of the Qur’an. The people were about to move back, but he motioned to them to remain, then let the curtain drop, and he passed away later that same day.”
