Both Ṣaḥīḥs also record a report transmitted by Sufyān al-Thawrī, from ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn al-Qāsim, from his father, from ʿĀʾishah, to the same purport.
Abū Dāwūd says: Hārūn ibn ʿAbd Allāh narrated to us; Ibn Abī Fudayk narrated to us; from al-Ḍaḥḥāk—meaning Ibn ʿUthmān—from Hishām ibn ʿUrwah, from his father, from ʿĀʾishah, who said: “The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent Umm Salamah ahead on the Night of Sacrifice. She cast the Jamrah before dawn, then went on and performed the ifāḍah. That took place on a day when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ would ordinarily remain in camp.” Abū Dāwūd adds—i.e., she did so while it was still dark. Mention of his ﷺ talbiyah at Muzdalifah: Muslim relates that Abū Bakr ibn Abī Shaybah narrated to us; Abū al-Aḥwaṣ, from Ḥuṣayn, from Kathīr ibn Mudrik, from ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Yazīd, who said: “While we were at Jamʿ, ʿAbd Allāh said, ‘I heard the one upon whom Sūrat al-Baqarah was revealed proclaim at this very place: “Labbayka Allāhumma labbayk.”’”
Section: His ﷺ standing at al-Mashʿar al-Ḥarām, his departure from Muzdalifah before sunrise, and his quickened pace through the Valley of Maḥassir.
Allah the Exalted says: “When you surge down from ʿArafāt, remember Allah at al-Mashʿar al-Ḥarām” (Qur’an 2:198).
Jābir states in his narration: “He prayed Fajr as soon as daybreak was plain, with a call to prayer followed by an iqāmah. He then mounted al-Qaṣwāʾ and rode until he reached al-Mashʿar al-Ḥarām, faced the qiblah, and invoked Allah, magnifying, glorifying, and declaring His oneness. He remained standing until the light had become very bright, then moved on before the sun had risen, with al-Faḍl ibn ʿAbbās riding behind him.”
Al-Bukhārī reports: Ḥajjāj ibn Minhāl narrated to us; Shuʿbah, from Abū Isḥāq, who said: “I heard ʿAmr ibn…"
