And from Umayyah ibn Bisṭām, through Yazīd ibn Zurayʿ, through Ḥabīb ibn al-Shahīd, through Bakr ibn ʿAbd Allāh al-Muzanī, with the same wording (1).

Thābit al-Bunānī on the authority of Anas:
Imām Aḥmad (2) said: “Wakīʿ narrated to us, from Ibn Abī [Laylā, from] (3) Thābit, from Anas, that the Prophet ﷺ said: ‘Here I am for an ʿUmrah and a Hajj together.’” -
From this particular route the report is uniquely transmitted by al-Ḥasan al-Baṣrī (4).
Imām Aḥmad (5) said: “Rawḥ narrated to us; Ashʿath narrated to us; from al-Ḥasan, from Anas ibn Mālik, that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and his Companions arrived in Mecca having already pronounced the talbiyah for both Hajj and ʿUmrah. After they circumambulated the House and walked between al-Ṣafā and al-Marwah, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ instructed them to leave the state of consecration and treat it as an ʿUmrah. The people, however, hesitated. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then said, ‘Were it not that I have brought sacrificial animals, I too would leave consecration,’ whereupon the Companions exited and availed themselves of tamattuʿ.”
Al-Ḥāfiẓ Abū Bakr (6) al-Bazzār (7) said: “Al-Ḥasan ibn Qazaʿah narrated to us; Sufyān ibn Ḥabīb narrated to us; Ashʿath narrated to us, from al-Ḥasan, from Anas, that the Prophet ﷺ and his Companions declared the talbiyah for both Hajj and ʿUmrah. When they reached Mecca they circumambulated the House and performed the saʿy between al-Ṣafā and al-Marwah. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then ordered them to come out of consecration, but they were reluctant. He said, ‘Come out of consecration; were it not that I have the sacrificial animals with me, I would do so myself.’ So they came out, to the extent that they were lawful even in regard to their wives (8).”
Al-Bazzār added: “We know of no one who transmits it from al-Ḥasan except Ashʿath ibn ʿAbd al-Malik.”
- Ḥumayd ibn Tīrawyah (9) al-Ṭawīl on his authority.
Imām Aḥmad (10) said: “Yaḥyā narrated to us, from Ḥumayd: I heard …”
