loyalty to the disbelievers; hence Allah has forbidden a Muslim to remain among them if he is able to migrate. The Almighty says:
“Indeed, those whom the angels take in death while they have wronged themselves, the angels will ask, ‘What state were you in?’ They will answer, ‘We were oppressed in the land.’ The angels will say, ‘Was not the earth of Allah spacious enough for you to migrate in it?’ Such people will have Hell as their refuge—what an evil destination! Excepted are the powerless men, women, and children who can devise no plan and find no way out. For them it may be that Allah will pardon them, for Allah is ever-pardoning, ever-forgiving.” (Qur’an 4:97-98)
Thus, Allah granted no excuse for residing in the lands of the unbelievers except for the genuinely helpless who are unable to emigrate, and for anyone whose stay serves a clear religious benefit—such as calling people to Allah and spreading Islam in their midst.
- Travelling to their countries purely for leisure and self-gratification.
Travel to the lands of the disbelievers is forbidden except in cases of necessity.
