And the people who have most brazenly declared war on Allah are those who show enmity toward the Companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, reviling and belittling them.

The Prophet ﷺ said: “Fear Allah, fear Allah with regard to my Companions; do not make them a target. Whoever harms them has harmed me, and whoever harms me has harmed Allah. Whoever harms Allah, it will not be long before He seizes him.” Reported by al-Tirmidhi and others.

Hostility toward the Companions and cursing them has, for certain misguided sects, become a creed and a religion in its own right.

We seek refuge in Allah from His anger and His painful punishment, and we ask Him for pardon and well-being. May Allah’s blessings, peace, and grace be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
