Allah the Exalted also says: “Those who lie in wait for you: if you are granted a victory from Allah, they say, ‘Were we not with you?’ But if the disbelievers gain a share, they say, ‘Did we not have the upper hand over you and protect you from the believers?’” (al-Nisāʾ 4:141).
7 – Visiting them and delighting in meeting and gathering with them. In the sacred hadith Allah says, “My love is due to those who visit one another for My sake.” In another narration: “A man went to visit a brother of his for the sake of Allah. Allah dispatched an angel along his path who asked, ‘Where are you heading?’ He replied, ‘I am going to visit a brother of mine for the sake of Allah.’ The angel asked, ‘Do you have any worldly favor to repay him for?’ He answered, ‘No—only that I love him for the sake of Allah.’ The angel said, ‘I am a messenger from Allah to inform you that Allah loves you just as you have loved him for His sake.’”
8 – Respecting their rights: one must not sell over their sale, bid against their bid, propose marriage over their proposal, or encroach upon that which they have already lawfully preceded one to.
