5 – Respecting them, honoring them, and never belittling or fault-finding with them.
Allah the Exalted says: “O you who believe, let not one people mock another people; they may well be better than them. Nor let women mock other women; they may well be better than them. Do not insult one another, nor address one another with offensive nicknames. How evil is the name of wickedness after having faith! Whoever does not repent—such are the wrongdoers. O you who believe, avoid much suspicion, for some suspicion is a sin. Do not spy on one another, nor backbite one another. Would any of you like to eat the flesh of his dead brother? You would abhor it. So be mindful of Allah; indeed, Allah is Ever-Relenting, Most Merciful.” (al-Hujurat 49:11–12).
6 – Standing with them in times of hardship and ease, in adversity and prosperity—unlike the hypocrites, who remain with the believers when things are comfortable but abandon them when hardship strikes.
