it and the former generations, and it cuts off the familiarity that once existed among families who were known by their distinctive names.
- Seeking forgiveness for them and asking mercy on their behalf
Allah has forbidden this, saying: “It is not for the Prophet and those who believe to ask forgiveness for the polytheists, even though they may be near relatives, after it has become clear to them that they are the people of Hellfire.” (Al-Tawbah 113). Doing so implies loving them and approving the state they are in.
هذا الجيلِ والأجيالِ السابقةِ ويقطعُ التعارفَ بينَ الأسرِ التي كانتْ تُعرفُ بأسمائِها الخاصةِ.
١٠ - الاستغفارُ لهمْ والترحمُ عليهِم
وقد حرَّم اللهُ ذلك بقولِه تعالى: (مَا كَانَ لِلنَّبِيِّ وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا أَنْ يَسْتَغْفِرُوا لِلْمُشْرِكِينَ وَلَوْ كَانُوا أُولِي قُرْبَى مِنْ بَعْدِ مَا تَبَيَّنَ لَهُمْ أَنَّهُمْ أَصْحَابُ الْجَحِيمِ). (التوبة ١١٣). لأنَّ هذا يتضمنُ حبَّهمْ وتصحيحَ ما همْ عليهِ.
