while turning a blind eye to their false creeds and corrupt religion.
Allah, Exalted is He, says: “And do not let your eyes long for the splendor of the worldly life We have allowed some of them to enjoy. We only test them through it, whereas the provision of your Lord is better and more lasting.” (Taha 131)
This, however, does not mean that Muslims should neglect the means of strength—such as learning industrial skills, lawful economic foundations, and military techniques. On the contrary, that is required, for Allah, Exalted is He, says: “And prepare against them whatever force you can.” (Al-Anfal 60)
Indeed, these benefits and the secrets of the universe were originally made for the Muslims. Allah, Exalted is He, says: “Say, ‘Who has forbidden the adornment of Allah that He has produced for His servants and the wholesome things of provision?’ Say, ‘They are for those who believe in the life of this world, and will be theirs exclusively on the Day of Resurrection.’” (Al-A‘raf 32)
