2 – It is related by Ismaʿil, from Abu Salih, from Umm Hani (may Allah be pleased with her). She said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:

“Allah possesses a city fashioned from fragrant musk; its water is the spring of Salsabeel, and its trees are made of light. Inside are beautiful maidens, each adorned with seventy braids. If a single one of them were to shine forth upon the earth, she would illuminate everything between east and west, and her perfume would fill the space between heaven and earth.”

They asked, “O Messenger of Allah, for whom has this been prepared?” He replied, “For the one who is gracious when demanding what is owed.”

In another wording he said: “Were just one of the wide-eyed maidens to appear, she would brighten all that lies between east and west and would fill everything between heaven and earth with her fragrance.”

Yet another narration states that she said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Allah has a city, created from fragrant musk and suspended beneath the Throne. Its trees are of light, its water is the spring of Salsabeel, and its wide-eyed maidens were fashioned from the daughters of Paradise. Each of them bears seventy braids, and if just one of them were hung in the east, she would illuminate the people of the west.”
