13 – Al-Hakam transmitted from al-Qasim, from Shurayh, who said: “I asked ʿĀʾishah (may Allah be pleased with her), ‘May I wipe over the leather socks?’ She replied, ‘Go to ʿAlī (may Allah be pleased with him) and ask him, for he used to travel with the Prophet ﷺ.’ Shurayh continues: So I went to ʿAlī, and he said to me, ‘Wipe over them.’”
