13 – Salamah ibn Kuhayl relates from Ibn Masʿūd (may Allah be pleased with him) who said: “None will be left in the Fire except those whom Allah has described in this verse:
‘What drove you into Saqar?’
They will answer, ‘We were not among those who prayed;
we did not feed the poor;
we used to plunge into idle talk with the idle talkers;
and we used to deny the Day of Recompense,
until certainty overtook us.
So the intercession of the intercessors will be of no benefit to them.’ (al-Muddaththir 74:42–48).”
Abū ʿIṣām narrates from Abū Ṣāliḥ, who said: “A ḥuqb is eighty years, six of which equal the span of the days of this world.”
