1 – From Abū Farwah, through ʿAṭāʾ ibn al-Sāʾib, through Abū al-Ḍuḥā, from Ibn ʿAbbās (may Allah be pleased with them) concerning Allah’s words: “Alif Lām Mīm.” He said, “I am Allah, All-Knowing, All-Seeing.”
Salamah ibn Nubayṭ reported: I was with al-Ḍaḥḥāk ibn Muzāḥim when a man asked him about the verse, “Indeed, we see you to be among the doers of good” [Yūsuf : 78]. He replied, “Whenever he saw someone in straitened circumstances, he would relieve him; whenever he saw a sick person, he would attend to him; and whenever he noticed someone in need, he would intercede so that the person’s need might be fulfilled.”
