4 – ʿAṭāʾ ibn as-Sāʾib reports, through Abū Muslim al-Agharr—the companion of Abū Hurayrah—from Abū Hurayrah ﵁, that the Prophet ﷺ said: “Allah the Exalted declared: ‘Pride is My cloak, and grandeur is My lower garment; whoever contends with Me for either of them, I will hurl him into Hell.’”
Ḥammād transmits from his father, from Ibrāhīm, from Muḥammad ibn al-Munkadir, that it reached him: “The arrogant man will be gathered with his head between his legs, raising it only within a chest of fire that is locked upon him, and he will never emerge from that chest while he is in the Fire.”
