2 – ʿAṭāʾ narrated, on the authority of his father, from Ibn ʿAmr: A man came to the Prophet ﷺ seeking to engage in jihad. The Prophet asked, “Are your parents still alive?” He replied, “Yes.” He said, “Then strive on their behalf.”
