9 – Al-Haytham narrated, through Abū Ṣāliḥ, from Abū Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Whoever, upon entering the morning, says three times, aʿūdhu bi-kalimātillāh at-tāmmāt (I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah), no scorpion will harm him until evening; and whoever says it when evening comes, no scorpion will harm him until morning.”
In another narration he said: “Whoever, before sunrise, says three times, aʿūdhu bi-kalimātillāh at-tāmmāt, no scorpion will harm him that day; and if he says it in the evening, no scorpion will harm him that night.”
