2 – From ʿAlqamah, through Ibn Buraydah, from his father (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said, “When a servant falls ill while he has been engaged in some portion of good deeds, Allah, Blessed and Exalted, says to His angels: ‘Write for My servant the reward of what he used to do when he was healthy.’”
One version adds: “along with the reward for the affliction.”
Another narration says: “Write for My servant what he used to do while he was healthy.”
Yet another wording states: “When the servant becomes ill while persevering in a deed, Allah, Blessed and Exalted, says to the recording angels: ‘Write for My servant the reward of what he used to do when he was sound in health.’”
