4 – From Abū Isḥāq, through ʿĀṣim ibn Ḍamrah, from ʿAlī—may Allah honor his countenance—who related that a curtain bearing images had been hung in the house of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. Because of that, Gabriel was late in coming. When he finally arrived, the Prophet asked, “What kept you from me?” He replied, “We do not enter a house that contains a dog or images. So lay the curtain flat and do not leave it hanging; sever the heads of the images, and take this puppy outside.”
