35 – Muhammad ibn Qays al-Hamdanī narrated, from Abu ʿĀmir al-Thaqafī: “He used to present the Prophet ﷺ each year with a wineskin of wine.”
In another wording: A man from Thaqīf known by the kunya Abu ʿĀmir would bring the Prophet ﷺ a wineskin of wine every year. In the year when wine was declared unlawful he brought the usual wineskin, whereupon the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “Abu ʿĀmir, Allah the Exalted has forbidden wine, so we have no need for your wine.” He replied, “Then take it and sell it; use the proceeds to meet your needs.” The Prophet ﷺ answered, “Abu ʿĀmir, Allah has forbidden drinking it, selling it, and deriving benefit from its price.”
٣٥ - عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ الْهَمْدَانِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي عَامِرٍ الثَّقَفِيِّ: «أَنَّهُ كَانَ يُهْدِي لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ كُلَّ عَامٍ رَاوِيَةً مِنْ خَمْرٍ» .
وَفِي رِوَايَةٍ: أَنَّ رَجُلًا مِنْ ثَقِيفٍ يُكْنَى: أَبَا عَامِرٍ " كَانَ يُهْدِي لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ كُلَّ عَامٍ رَاوِيَةً مِنْ خَمْرٍ، فَأَهْدَى فِي الْعَامِ الَّذِي حُرِّمَتْ فِيهِ الْخَمْرُ رَاوِيَةً كَمَا كَانَ يُهْدِي لَهُ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ: " يَا أَبَا عَامِرٍ، إِنَّ اللَّهَ تَعَالَى قَدْ حَرَّمَ الْخَمْرَ، فَلَا حَاجَةَ لَنَا فِي خَمْرِكَ، قَالَ: خُذْهَا فَبِعْهَا، فَاسْتَعِنْ بِثَمَنِهَا عَلَى حَاجَتِكَ، فَقَالَ: يَا أَبَا عَامِرٍ، إِنَّ اللَّهَ قَدْ حَرَّمَ شُرْبَهَا، وَبَيْعَهَا، وَأَكْلَ ثَمَنِهَا "
