34 – Abu ʿAwn Muḥammad al-Thaqafī transmitted, from ʿAbd Allāh ibn Shaddād, from Ibn ʿAbbās (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: “Wine has been declared unlawful, whether a little of it or a lot, and so is every drink of which the amount reaches the point of intoxication.”
In another wording, Ibn ʿAbbās (may Allah be pleased with him) said: “Wine itself has been prohibited—its small quantity and its large—and likewise any intoxicating amount of every beverage.”
