17 – Al-Haytham related, on the authority of ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Sābiṭ, from Jābir ibn ʿAbd Allah (may Allah be pleased with him):
“The Prophet ﷺ sacrificed two well-fleeced, predominantly white rams. He offered one on his own behalf, and the other on behalf of every member of his community who testifies, ‘lā ilāha illā Allah.’”
In another version a similar report is transmitted, but Jābir ibn ʿAbd Allah (may Allah be pleased with him) does not mention that last detail.
