- Abu Burdah narrated from his father that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said, “My ummah is a community upon whom mercy has been bestowed; its punishment is inflicted by its own hands in this world.” In one version he added: “—through killing.” And in another narration: “Indeed, this ummah has been shown mercy; its punishment is at its own hands.”
٤ - عَنْ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ﵁، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ: «إِنَّ أُمَّتِي أُمَّةٌ مَرْحُومَةٌ عَذَابُهَا بِأَيْدِيهَا فِي الدُّنْيَا» .
زَادَ فِي الرِّاوَيَةِ: «بِالْقَتْلِ» ، وَفِي رِوَايَةٍ: «إِنَّ هَذِهِ الْأُمَّةَ مَرْحُومَةٌ عَذَابُهَا بِأَيْدِيهَا»
