2. Abu Burdah narrated from his father that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “When the Day of Resurrection comes, every man from among the Muslims will be assigned a man from the Jews and Christians, and it will be announced: ‘This person is your ransom from the Fire.’

In another version: “When the Day of Resurrection comes, Allah Most High will give every man of this ummah a man from the disbelievers, and it will be said to him, ‘This is your ransom from the Fire.’

Yet another narration states: “When the Day of Resurrection comes, a man from the People of the Scripture will be handed over to every man of this ummah, and it will be said, ‘This is your ransom from the Fire.’”
