27 – Al-Shaʿbī narrated from ʿĀʾishah (may Allah be pleased with her), who said:
“Seven qualities were granted to me that none of the other wives of the Prophet ﷺ possessed:
- Through my father I was the one most beloved to him, and I myself was the dearest of them to him;
- he married me while I was a virgin;
- he did not marry me until Gabriel, peace be upon him, had come to him bearing my likeness;
- I actually saw Gabriel—no other woman ever saw him—and he would visit the Prophet while I was lying wrapped in his cloak beside him;
- a revelation declaring my innocence came down about me, a matter that almost caused whole groups of people to perish;
- the Messenger of Allah ﷺ died in my house, on my night and during my day, his head resting between my chest and my throat.”
