17 – ‘Ikrimah reported, on the authority of Ibn ‘Abbas—may Allah be pleased with them—that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “The chief of martyrs on the Day of Resurrection is Hamzah ibn ‘Abd al-Muttalib, followed by a man who enters upon a ruler and commands him (to right) and forbids him (from wrong).”
In another version: “The chief of martyrs on the Day of Resurrection is Hamzah ibn ‘Abd al-Muttalib and a man who stands up to an unjust ruler, commanding him and forbidding him.”
