10 – Hammad reports from Ibrahim, from al-Aswad, from Aʿishah (may Allah be pleased with her):
“When the Prophet fell ill with the sickness in which he passed away, he asked permission to stay in my house, and we granted it to him. She said: When I heard that, I hurried off and swept my house—for I had no servant—and I laid out a bed for him whose cushion was stuffed with idhkhir (a fragrant desert grass). The Messenger of Allah then arrived, supported between two men, until he was placed upon my bed.”
