9 – ʿAṭiyyah al-ʿAwfī narrated, from Abū Saʿīd al-Khudrī (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ declared, “Whoever deliberately lies about me, let him take his seat in the Fire.” ʿAṭiyyah added, “I bear witness that I have not lied about Abū Saʿīd, and that Abū Saʿīd did not lie about the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him.”
٩ - عَنْ عَطِيَّةَ الْعَوْفِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ﵁، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ: «مَنْ كَذَبَ عَلَيَّ مُتَعَمِّدًا، فَلْيَتَبَوَّأْ مَقْعَدَهُ مِنَ النَّارِ» ، قَالَ عَطِيَّةُ: وَأَشْهَدُ أَنِّي لَمْ أَكْذِبْ عَلَى أَبِي سَعِيدٍ، وَأَنَّ أَبَا سَعِيدٍ لَمْ يَكْذِبْ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ
