16 – Maʿn ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn ʿAbd Allāh ibn Masʿūd narrated—through ʿAbd Allāh ibn Masʿūd (may Allah be pleased with him)—that the Prophet ﷺ said:

“Some people conduct purchases ‘on Allah.’”
They asked, “And how is that, O Messenger of Allah?”
He replied, “By saying, ‘We have sold on the understanding that payment will come from whatever share and booty is allotted to us when the spoils are divided.’”
