14 – Abu’l-Zubayr narrated, on the authority of Jābir ibn ʿAbd Allah al-Anṣārī (may Allah be pleased with him), that the Prophet ﷺ said: “Whoever sells a pollinated date-palm or a slave who possesses property—the fruit and the property belong to the seller unless the purchaser makes it a condition.”
In another wording: “Whoever sells a slave who owns property, the property belongs to the seller unless the buyer stipulates; and whoever sells a pollinated date-palm, its fruit belongs to the seller unless the buyer stipulates.”
