6 – ʿAṭiyyah narrated from Abū Saʿīd al-Khudrī (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet ﷺ said:
“Gold for gold, equal for equal; any excess is ribā (usury). Silver for silver, weight for weight; any excess is ribā. Dates for dates, equal for equal; any excess is ribā. Barley for barley, equal for equal; any excess is ribā. Salt for salt, equal for equal; any excess is ribā.”
In another wording: “Gold for gold, weight for weight, hand-to-hand; any excess is ribā. Wheat for wheat, measure for measure, hand-to-hand; any excess is ribā. Dates for dates, and salt for salt, measure for measure; any excess is ribā.”
٦ - عَنْ عَطِيَّةَ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ﵁، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ، قَالَ: «الذَّهَبُ بِالذَّهَبِ مِثْلًا بِمِثْلٍ، وَالْفَضْلُ رِبًا، وَالْفِضَّةُ بِالْفِضَّةِ وَزْنًا بِوَزْنٍ، وَالْفَضْلُ رِبًا، وَالتَّمْرُ بِالتَّمْرِ مِثْلًا بِمِثْلٍ، وَالْفَضْلُ رِبًا، وَالشَّعِيرُ بِالشَّعِيرِ مِثْلًا بِمِثْلٍ، وَالْفَضْلُ رِبًا، وَالْمِلْحُ بِالْمِلْحِ مِثْلًا بِمِثْلٍ، وَالْفَضْلُ رِبًا» ، وَفِي رِوَايَةٍ: «الذَّهَبُ بِالذَّهَبِ وَزْنًا بِوَزْنٍ يَدًا بِيَدٍ، وَالْفَضْلُ رِبًا، وَالْحِنْطَةُ بِالْحِنْطَةِ كَيْلًا بِكَيْلٍ يَدًا بِيَدٍ، وَالْفَضْلُ رِبًا، وَالتَّمْرُ بِالتَّمْرِ، وَالْمِلْحُ بِالْمِلْحِ كَيْلًا بِكَيْلٍ، وَالْفَضْلُ رِبًا»
