4 – Ismaʿil ibn Hammad, his father, al-Qasim ibn Maʿn, and ʿAbd al-Malik narrated from ʿAṭiyya al-Qurazi, who said: “We were brought before the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on the day of Qurayza. He ordered that the adults be put to death and the youngsters be taken as captives: whoever had begun to grow pubic hair was executed, and whoever had not was spared.”
In another report he said: “I was presented to the Prophet ﷺ, and he said, ‘Examine him; if he has grown pubic hair, strike him.’ They found that I had not grown any, so he set me free.”
In yet another narration he said: “I was among the captives of Qurayza. I was brought before the Prophet ﷺ, they inspected my private parts, and when they discovered that I had not grown pubic hair, they left me with the captives.”
