3 – Al-Qāsim related from his father, from ʿAbdullāh (may Allah be pleased with him): “In the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ a thief’s hand was cut off for (stealing) ten dirhams.” Another narration says: “Amputation was imposed only for ten dirhams.”
