10 – Hammād narrated from Ibrāhīm, from al-Aswad, who said: ʿUmar ibn al-Khaṭṭāb (may Allah be pleased with him) said, “Do not set aside the Book of our Lord and the Sunnah of our Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) for the sake of a woman’s claim when we do not know whether she is being truthful or not. A woman divorced three times is entitled to lodging and maintenance.”
