6 – Alqamah ibn Marthad narrated from Ibn Buraydah who said:

They once discussed ill omen in the presence of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He said, “Ill omen is found in three things: the house, the woman, and the horse. The ill omen of a house is that it is cramped and has bad neighbours; the ill omen of a horse is that it is headstrong; and the ill omen of a woman is that she is barren.”

Al-Ḥasan ibn Sufyān added: “bad-tempered and barren.”

Another version states: “If ill omen exists in anything, it is in the house, the horse, and the woman. The house’s ill omen lies in its narrowness; the woman’s ill omen lies in her bad temper and the barrenness of her womb; and the horse’s ill omen is that it is unruly.”
