32 – ʿAtaʾ reported from Ibn ʿAbbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that “the Prophet ﷺ kept reciting the talbiyah until he stoned Jamrat al-ʿAqabah.”
In another version, Ibn ʿAbbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) relates that the Prophet ﷺ “seated al-Fadl ibn ʿAbbas (may Allah be pleased with him) behind him—he was a handsome youth who began glancing at the women—so the Prophet ﷺ kept turning his face away, and he continued to recite the talbiyah until he stoned Jamrat al-ʿAqabah.”
A further narration, transmitted from Ibn ʿAbbas through his brother al-Fadl, states that the Prophet ﷺ “did not cease proclaiming the talbiyah until he stoned Jamrat al-ʿAqabah.”
