3 – Qays narrated, from Ṭāriq, from Ibn Masʿūd (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said, “The most virtuous Hajj is al-ʿajj and al-thajj. As for al-ʿajj, it is raising the voice in the talbiyah; as for al-thajj, it is the abundant flow of blood from the sacrificial camels.” Some narrators explained it as “the shedding of blood.” In another wording: “As for al-thajj, it is the slaughtering of the sacrificial offering.”
