5 – From ʿAbd Allāh, on the authority of Ibn ʿUmar, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said, “Bilal gives the call to prayer while it is still night, so continue to eat and drink until Ibn Umm Maktum makes his call; he does not pronounce the adhan until the time for prayer has actually begun.”
