104 – Hammad narrated from Saʿīd ibn Jubayr, from Ibn ʿUmar (may Allah be pleased with them both): A man once asked him about the Prophet’s prayer inside the Kaʿbah on the day he entered it.

He replied, “He prayed inside the Kaʿbah four rakʿahs.” The man then said, “Show me the spot where he prayed.” Ibn ʿUmar therefore sent his son with him, and the man went to the place beneath the pillar that faces the wooden beam.

In another wording, Ibn ʿUmar (may Allah be pleased with them both) said, “The Prophet prayed inside the Kaʿbah four rakʿahs. I said to him, ‘Show me the place where he prayed,’ so he sent his son with him, and he pointed out to me the middle pillar directly beneath the beam.”
