Musnad Abi Hanifah Riwayat al-HaskafiAbu Hanifa

68 – ʿAbd al-Karim transmitted from Umm ʿAtiyyah who said: “We were granted permission to go out for the two Eids—Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha.”

In another version she said: “If a menstruating woman went out, she would sit in the midst of the other women and make supplication on both Eids.”

Yet another narration states: “The Messenger of Allah ﷺ instructed us to bring out on the Day of Sacrifice and the Day of Breaking the Fast the young women who normally stay in seclusion as well as the menstruating women. As for the menstruating women, they should avoid the prayer area but witness the occasion of goodness and the Muslims’ supplications.”

A woman asked, “Messenger of Allah, what if one of us does not have a jilbab (outer cloak)?” He replied, “Let her sister clothe her with some of her jilbab.”
