41 – Ḥammād narrated from Ibrāhīm, from ʿAlqamah, from ʿAbd Allāh ibn Masʿūd (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: “The Messenger of Allah ﷺ would end the prayer with the salām to his right, saying, as-salāmu ʿalaykum wa raḥmatullāh (peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah), until the side of his face could be seen; then he would do the same to his left.” In another report: “until the whiteness of his right cheek could be seen, and on his left likewise.”
