And He, exalted be He, also says:
“It is no power that he [Satan] has over those who believe and place their trust in their Lord; his authority is only over those who ally themselves with him and those who, because of him, commit shirk.” (1)
And He says:
“We have appointed the devils as allies for those who do not believe.” (2)
And He says:
“Indeed, when those who are mindful of Allah are touched by a whisper from Satan, they remember, and then they see clearly. But their brethren draw them ever deeper into error and never relent.” (3-4)
And He says:
“On the Day He gathers them all together He will say to the angels, ‘Was it you these people used to worship?’ They will reply, ‘Glory be to You! You are our Guardian, not they. Rather, they used to worship the jinn; most of them believed in them.’” (5)
And He says:
“Will you then take him and his progeny as allies instead of Me, while they are enemies to you? How wretched an exchange for the wrongdoers!” (6)
And He says:
“So fight the allies of Satan; indeed, Satan’s stratagem has always been weak.” (7)

Thus He has commanded that the allies of Satan be fought—that is, the unbelievers—and He says:
“Satan has gained mastery over them and has made them forget the remembrance of Allah. Those are the party of Satan; surely, the party of Satan are the losers.” (8)
