and they maintain that the attributes subsist in Allah, Mighty and Majestic, and that Allah Most High has always been pleased with those whom He knows will die as believers, and angry with those whom He knows will die as disbelievers. They hold the same view regarding friendship and enmity, hatred and love. His position regarding power was as we have related from the people of the Sunnah and hadith, as were his positions regarding those who commit major sins and seeing Allah Most High with the eyes.

He also used to say:

Allah has always existed, and before creation there was neither time nor place, and He remains as He has always been,
