and the Khawārij, the Muʿtazilah, and the Najjāriyyah, concerning the major questions of theology, he said:

‘This is an account of the doctrine of the scholars of hadith and Ahl al-Sunnah. He said: Know that, in summary, the scholars of hadith and Ahl al-Sunnah profess belief in Allah, Mighty and Majestic.’
