and said to him:
“O Messenger, convey what has been revealed to you from your Lord. If you do not, then you have not conveyed His message.” [al-Mā’idah 67]
He, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said in his sermon during the Farewell Pilgrimage and on various other occasions, in the presence of the general body of the Companions—may Allah Most High be pleased with them all—“O Allah, have I conveyed the message?” Thus, what Allah Most High revealed and commanded him to convey constituted the perfection and completion of the religion, as He says:
“Today I have perfected your religion for you.” [al-Mā’idah 3]
He therefore left nothing of
وقال له يَا أَيُّهَا الرَّسُولُ بَلِّغْ مَا أُنزِلَ إِلَيْكَ مِن رَّبِّكَ وَإِن لَّمْ تَفْعَلْ فَمَا بَلَّغْتَ رِسَالَتَهُ
[المائدة ٦٧]
وقال صلى الله عليه وسلم في خطبته في حجة الوداع وفي مقامات له شتى وبحضرته عامة الصحابة رضوان الله تعالى عليهم أجمعين اللهم هل بلغت فكان ماأنزل الله تعالى وأمر بتبليغه هو كمال الدين وتمامه لقوله الْيَوْمَ أَكْمَلْتُ لَكُمْ دِينَكُمْ
