For Allah, glorified is He, has included in His mighty Book, within what He relates about Himself, His names, and His actions, proofs, signs, and analogies expressed through illustrative comparisons that establish the truth of what He relates by sound reason. Thus He addresses those endowed with understanding, discernment, and judgment, and those who reason and listen. Indeed, His Book also contains rational proofs establishing His commands, prohibitions, promises, and warnings, as He indicates in numerous passages, such as His saying, Most High:
“We will show them Our signs on the horizons and within themselves until it becomes clear to them that it is the truth. Is it not sufficient that your Lord is a witness over all things? {53} Indeed, they are in doubt about meeting their Lord. Indeed, He encompasses all things. {54}” [Fussilat 53–54]
