“And We have certainly created for Hell many of the jinn and mankind. They have hearts with which they do not understand, eyes with which they do not see, and ears with which they do not hear. They are like livestock; rather, they are further astray. It is they who are heedless (179).” [al-A‘rāf: 179]
And He says:
“Then do they not reflect upon the Quran, or are there locks upon their hearts (24)?” [Muhammad: 24]
And He says:
“When they leave your presence, they say to those who have been given knowledge, ‘What did he say just now?’ Those are the ones whose hearts Allah has sealed, and who follow their own desires (16).” [Muhammad: 16]
And He says:
“Say, ‘For those who believe, it is guidance and healing. But those who do not believe have deafness in their ears, and to them it is blindness.’” [Fussilat: 44]
The point is that this is a form of sophistry: claiming necessary knowledge of something that is not necessarily known is equivalent to denying necessary knowledge of something that is. Anyone who does this is either deliberately lying or mistaken.
Error in the means of acquiring knowledge arises either from the absence of a prerequisite for knowledge—owing to defective or weak faculties of perception, or to an incomplete conception of the two terms of a proposition, assent to which becomes certain upon
