Friday, stating that it is the day on which Allah rose over the Throne.
Al-Baghawī said concerning Allah’s words, “Then He rose towards heaven” [al-Baqarah 29]: “Ibn ‘Abbās and most of the early exegetes said: ‘Then He rose to heaven.’”
Al-Baghawī also said concerning Allah’s words, “Then He rose over the Throne” [al-A‘rāf 54]: “Al-Kalbī and Muqātil said: ‘He settled.’ Abū ‘Ubaydah said: ‘He ascended.’”
الجمعة أنه اليوم الذي استوى الله فيه على العرش وقال البغوي في قوله تعالى ثُمَّ اسْتَوَى إِلَى السَّمَاءِ

قال ابن عباس وأكثر مفسري السلف ثم ارتفع إلى السماء وقال البغوي أيضاً في قوله تعالى
ثُمَّ اسْتَوَى عَلَى الْعَرْشِ
[الأعراف ٥٤]
