The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, “This will indeed come to pass, but it has not happened yet.”

Al-‘Awfī narrated from Ibn ‘Abbās: “Its fulfillment is the realization of what they were promised in the Quran.” Al-Suddī said: “Its fulfillment is its eventual outcomes, such as the Battle of Badr and whatever events were promised therein.” Al-Rabī‘ ibn Anas said: “It continues to come to pass on the Day of Reckoning.”
