al-Mutashābihāt (Ambiguous Texts), from Ibn ‘Umar, that the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said:

“The believer draws near to his Lord on the Day of Resurrection until the Compeller enfolds him in His shelter. He then acknowledges his sins, saying three times, ‘I acknowledge them.’ Then Allah Most High says, ‘I concealed them for you in this world, and I forgive them for you today.’ He is then given the record of his good deeds. As for the disbelievers and hypocrites, it will be proclaimed concerning them before all the witnesses: ‘These are the ones who lied against their Lord.’” [Hūd 18]

He said:

“Know that what is meant by His nearness and drawing close is the nearness of His mercy
