Al-Rāzī said:

Chapter Eight: On Nearness

Allah, Glorified and Exalted, says:

“And We are closer to him than his jugular vein.” (16) [Qāf 16]

The Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, relating from Allah:

“Whoever draws near to Me by a handspan, I draw near to him by a forearm’s length. Whoever draws near to Me by a forearm’s length, I draw near to him by an armspan. Whoever comes to Me walking, I come to him running.”
